The miSim Open License

  
I've chosen this License because it is short and simple to understand. You may use and modify the program as you see fit, so long as you meet the conditions laid out in the license. If you write plugins or make changes or improvements to the software, I would be very pleased to fold them back into the source code. If you would like to embark on a major set of changes, please contact me first so that updates and fixes can be co-ordinated.

This is a new version of the license. Firstly, the web addresses have been changed to the Feertech URL. Secondly it is now no longer permissable to distribute binary forms of miSim DE without prior written permission. That permission may well be freely granted, but anyone wishing to distribute executable versions of the software, or software based upon the miSim DE codebase must ask first.

Don't worry - miSim DE remains freely downloadable and open source. However, it would be deeply distressing if freeloaders were to take advantage of the large investment that has been made in the software. The updated license is intended to address this issue and allow miSim DE to grow into a mature and useful product.
